The Rude Mechanicals are versatile multi-instrumentalists performing a wide range of music including traditional folk-dance tunes, contemporary material and miscellaneous musical indulgences.
Based in Sussex, England, the Mechanicals are Barry Ruffell, Ian Chisholm, Ruth Stevens and Annie Messerschmidt. The musical style is informal, the repertoire extensive and adaptable, and the playing distinctive.
